Varun messaged Kamaldeep on Facebook in 2016, she replied after six to seven days, and over time the two became close friends before meeting in person in December 2017, exactly one year later.
For Kamaldeep, the certainty came through their connection and contrast. They bonded over horse riding, animals, and similar thoughts about life. However, what stood out most was Varun’s honesty.
She shares that while most people would agree with her, Varun would be the one person who could calmly say, “No, you are wrong.” Not to argue, but to be truthful. That sincerity became the feeling she could not ignore.

Kamaldeep’s dream was clear. She wanted a wedding where family and friends could genuinely be present, and where the day felt easy and enjoyable. She chose 8 November because it worked for most loved ones, and she wanted the mood to feel happy and fun.

Kamaldeep’s brief was simple: highlight natural features, keep it subtle, and avoid anything loud. Since she had never done professional makeup before, she wanted to still look like herself. The final look delivered exactly that.

Why AKM Zirakpur Was the Only Venue She Wanted
Some wedding venues are chosen for convenience. This one was chosen from a childhood wish.
Kamaldeep has lived in Zirakpur since childhood, and every time she passed AKM Zirakpur, she would think it looked like the perfect big venue. She even attended a wedding there when she was in Class 12th or in her first year of college and told her mother, “One day, I want to get married here.”
Years later, she did. That is why the venue felt like more than a booking. It felt like a full circle moment.
Laughter, Emotion, and a Surprise She Never Expected
The funniest part of the wedding day was that Kamaldeep and Varun wanted to dance, but every time they tried, someone would arrive with shagun or ask for photos. Eventually, the moment they finally got a chance, they rushed to the dance floor like they had been waiting all day, because they had.
The most emotional moment came from her cousin Nehar, who is in Class 10th. Nehar gave a small speech and got emotional, and Kamaldeep says that bond is one of her most cherished relationships. That speech became one of the memories that still stays close.
